What is a split?
In the first elimination vote, the table normally lands on one player and he's out. A split is a deliberate 5–5 tie: five votes on #1, five on the player he picks.
A tie isn't an elimination — the game puts both tied players back on the mic for a final speech before the runoff. That's the whole point: #1 buys himself another turn to talk, and drags a partner along with him. Pure use of the game mechanics.
Legend
A player's colour is simply the side he votes with — teammates all match, including the two on the block.
